Monday Mileage

I have logged 32.5 miles so far this year.  I am still looking for that kick in the pants to get me motivated and get the miles in.  So far, I've done a lot better in coming up with excuses as to why I'm not.  I really am hoping this is just the winter doldrums and once we have a few nice days, I'll be able to start catching up.


  1. Let's both step it up this week. Okay?

  2. Lori, I have spent so much time trying to come up with anything to encourage you after the last two posts about the walking goal. And anything I might say sounds so trite to me. It's something only you can work out. But being someone who only recently has acquired a love for winter hiking, I do understand the lack of motivation that comes with trying to make oneself get outside when it's cold and dark. Do what you can, please don't give up, but look forward to spring days when I'd bet on the fact that the desire to walk will be there.

  3. The winter weather can be a bit discouraging at times. I know how it feels… I wish spring would arrive sooner.

  4. The more you push through it the easier it gets. Something just kind of clicks and then you are on your way.
